is grouped together in easily accessable form by tradition or geographical
location. The Ring Archive has collated such information and the items relating
to Amble, Northumberland are detailed below.

Contains brief background information and notations for a number of figures.
B. Unpublished Material.

TS material from B.Hayden and J.Mellor
Hayden and Mellor were the two main collectors of material from Amble. The
TS are dated 1960 and 1963, although it appears that the collecting was done
in 1959/60.

Undated letter from W.F. Cassie to EFDSS.
The letter describes in brief detail how the Amble dance came to be
collected.

TS Material Collected by R.Marriott 13/9/58.
Brief note of details recovered by Marriot from his first meeting with the
dancers.
Note. This information is available only in fair copy typed form. Unfortunately
the original, in the Helm Collection, is badly faded and not suitable for
reproduction.
